–Habibi’s Angels: commission impossible

A play about tokenism in three layers: two writers, Kalale and Hoda, two writers of colour, are commissioned to make a play. They create the Angels,  four women of colour who are tasked by the mysterious Habibi to make a play. The Angels create three women who are neighbours in the same building in Montreal. Habibi turns out to be a data eating monster only interested in the Angels for the boxes they can tick. The Angels escape through Québec history until they destroy Habibi by overloading the monster on trauma porn.

» -Mario Cloutier, En toutes lettres
